Sights and sounds of the Gathering of Nations Powwow, which took place April 23-25 in Albuquerque, N.M. This audio slideshow is from the grand entry on the last night of the powwow.

Tetona Dunlap will study photojournalism as a graduate student at the University of Montana in Missoula in fall 2009. Dunlap is Eastern Shoshone from the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. She graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., with a B.A. in journalism in 2004. A graduate of the Freedom Forum's American Indian Journalism Institute, Dunlap was the first Native American intern at The Washington Post. She worked at the Kansas City Star in Kansas City, Mo., as a photographer/videographer.
