Haskell Loses to Oklahoma Wesleyan

LAWRENCE, Kan.—The Haskell men’s basketball team travels to Bartlesville, Okla., this Friday to play Oklahoma Wesleyan. Haskell lost, 81-66, to Wesleyan at home on Feb. 1.

Ben Carrywater leads the team in scoring with an average of 15 points a game, followed by Terrance Little Thunder who averages 10.5 points. Carrywater and Little Thunder also lead the team in rebounding with an average of 9.5 and 6.6 per game.

Haskell’s overall record for the season so far is 10 wins and 12 losses. Within the MCAC, Haskell is ranked fourth with two conference wins and four losses. College of the Ozarks is ranked number one (5-0) as well as fourth in the NAIA Division II Men’s basketball top 25 coaches’ poll.



Tetona Dunlap is a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe from the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. She graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., with a B.A. in Journalism in 2004. Dunlap works at the Kansas City Star in Kansas City, Mo., as a photographer/videographer.
