About Dalton

I'm a news reporter at the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, S.D. I started Dec, 3 2007.

I'm a 2001 grad of the American Indian Journalism Institute and 2005 Chips Quinn Scholar.

I have reported and blogged for www.reznetnews.com for many years.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2007. I was born, raised and educated in northern Minnesota on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in a small, traditional community called Ponemah.  I also have Creek, Lakota and Oneida blood.

Summer 2007, I interned on the Metro desk at The New York Times. I worked as a reporter at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis summer 2006 and at the Duluth (Minn.) News Tribune the previous summer.
