The weather is warming up and it’s getting closer to summer. This can only mean one thing for all those Indian dancers out there, powwow season is starting up.
It’s time to break out those outfits and get those sluggish winter bodies moving again. Experienced dancers know how to navigate the powwow trail. They got their weekends booked and their maps marked with the next rez stop.
If your powwow navigation skills are amateur, like me, you need help knowing where to strut your stuff at. Slick moves and snazzy outfits are wasted when you don’t know where to show them off at.
This is where powwow trail comes into play.
Powwow trail is a guidebook for the amateur or the unskilled powwow navigator. It’s a reference to get weekly updates on upcoming powwows. Think of powwow trail as a go-to guide on when to mark your calendar. It can help keep you updated so you know when and where to go. So to kick it off here is a list of some powwows for the month of March, hoka.
